Date Night

So since my parents had Dom for the whole afternoon and night, Nick and I wanted to do something we didn't get to do normally. We didn't know what or where, but we wanted to go out and stay out. Without having to worry about coming home early to a babysitter or having to get up early with Dom.

That was the plan...here's what really happened.

Nick got home from the golf tournament around 6:30 or so. I was laying on the couch STILL watching the Cardinals game. It started at 3:05 and was in extra innings. When Nick got home, he laid on the couch and closed his eyes. I kept telling him, when the game is over, we're going to get ready and go out.

Well the game wouldn't end!! Finally, when it got to be the 14th inning, I told Nick we had to get up and go. We got up and got dressed and went to Syberg's on Gravois. We sat in the bar and ordered some food. The game was on and it was still going. We were also thinking of going to the new casino, just to check it out, but wanted to wait for the game to end.

Around the 17th inning, my friend Lauren, texted me and asked what we were doing. I told her where we were and she asked if we minded if she and her husband came up for a drink. Of course we didn't mind, so they came up for a drink.

They got there in the 19th inning and the game finally ended in the 20th inning...it would've been a lot better if the Cardinals won, but it was still a crazy game.

We stayed at the bar for a little longer and around 11:00 we were all so tired we went home. Nick and I didn't go to the casino. We just went home and went straight to bed.

So much for a date night! :-)
