SuRpRiSe!

Nick surprised me yesterday. He spent part of the day cleaning out the room that will be Dom's room! Which is awesome! It was so cluttered and now it's perfect.

I actually complained for a brief second because he 'ruined' my opportunity to get "before" pictures of how dirty the room was! Well not dirty, just very full of junk. He laughed at me and said, "Do you want me to move everything back in so you can take some pictures?" haha. No way, Jose!

So the room was cleaned out. I scrubbed down the baseboards, Nick cleaned the floors and we set to work. It looks amazing. Here are, like, 10 pictures of how great it is. I wish you could have seen what it did look like so you can see the difference!

Here is one of Dominick's closets (yes he has TWO).

Dommie is playing with some of the toys in his new room.

Dommie sitting on his stool by his big boy bed.

This door is Dommie's second closet. It's his "toy" closet right now.

Dommie by his big boy bed.

Dommie on his rocking chair.

Nick and Brady, taking a rest.

And last but not least:

The WHOLE room picture!

I just love it. We are having Dom play as much as possible in the new room so he can get used to it. We aren't moving him down to the big boy bed for awhile still, but we're really looking forward to him having his own big room with toys and stuff. We are getting a second gate to put on the stairs and then while we're in the kitchen, Dom can play in the kitchen with us or right there in his new room.

Yay! Go US! :-)

15 month check up

Today was Dom's 15 wellness visit with the pediatrician. He is looking good!

He is 27 lbs. 14 oz. and 33 inches tall. He is in the 90%tile for both.

She said he is looking great movement and health wise. He is growing great and very smart. Just what we wanted to hear.

He had to get two shots today, which wasn't near as bad as the lead test but still awful. But the best news was, our next visit will have NO SHOTS! Finally!!!

Bulk Pick up!

Holy cow, what a day. Since it rained ALL darn weekend, our kickball games were cancelled. So that meant that Nick and I were free all day.

Since bulk pick up was this week (or is) we decided to get rid of anything we didn't need in our house anymore and get the spare bedroom ready to become Dom's bedroom. We would like to get Dom moved down to the spare bedroom before his 2nd birthday. So we started moving stuff.

We moved a ton. We moved an old entertainment center, an old couch, an old futon and an old T.V. We were both exhausted! (and PS - I love living in the city because even though bulk pickup hasn't come yet, half the stuff is already gone from the dumpster divers. Love it).

But the storage room downstairs is CLEAN! So we are moving stuff down to storage and getting Dom's big boy room ready! I can't wait to move him down so he can have a closet and a big dresser (with more room for all this kid's clothes!). And I want to have a little more room for him to play in his room.

I'll do some before and after pictures so you can see the difference. It's going to be quite the transformation!

Parents as Teachers - 15 months

After Dom's treat at Chris' Pancake House we had to head home and get ready for our parents as teachers visit.

Tracy, our leader, came over at 9:45. We went to the basement and she was asking us some questions about Dom. She asked how many words he said, and how much talking he was doing. If he was helping dress himself, and if he could stack blocks. All kinds of questions. He is testing great, and is a very smart boy.

A few things happened though at this meeting that shocked me! When Tracy got there, Dom was playing with some big legos. She asked me if he could stack them together himself. I told her that I didn't think he could. Usually he just handed them to me, one at a time and I stacked them until he wanted the whole stack and then he tore them apart. She told me that this was perfectly ok. She said if he could stack them together that would be very advanced. We started talking about something else when I noticed what Dom was doing, he was STACKING THE LEGOS! And not just two or three. He built a big stack of EIGHT!

After the excitement of that started to wear off, we were talking about movement. She was saying that Dom won't learn fear until he is 3 years or so, so we need to be careful. She said he'll climb onto things and jump off or just fall off. I told her he couldn't climb the furniture but we'd watch the stairs. Well wouldn't you know it. He then walked over to the couch and climbed right up. Like it was nothing. He just sat up there watching us and then climbed down perfectly.

He now likes to be up up the couch more than on the floor or on his chair. We have to watch him close but luckily for us, so far he knows how to turn around and slide down without hurting himself. I'll still keep an eye on him when up on furniture, of course, but it is nice that I know he can get down on his own.

What a big boy. Our P.A.T. appointment went great. My angel baby is perfect. I knew it. ;-)

Blood Draw...

Awful. Just plain awful.

I have never felt so helpless and so sorry for my baby. It was horrible.

We had to get two vials of blood drawn for Dominick's lead test. Since we have a house in St. Louis city and our house was built before 1945, Dom needed this test by his 15 month appt. So we went Saturday morning to get this test done.

Well technically I went Friday morning and they couldn't find any of his paperork so I had to call the pediatrician's office and get it faxed to my work and then go back Saturday morning...but that's not the point of this story.

So Saturday morning, Nick, Dom and I got up and headed to the Quest Center by our house. We got there and weren't there long before we got called back. Everyone just LOVED Dommie! They were all talking to him and he was loving the attention. Until we had to get started.

Nick didn't think he could hold Dom so we switched places and I assumed the position in the chair, holding Dom. I had to hold him in a bear hug gripping him as tightly as I could without hurting him. One nurse had to hold the arm we were trying to get the blood from as still as she could, while a second nurse did the actual blood draw.

The first try was not a success. They got the needle in and the shreik of pain almost killed me, I swear. I put my head down and just held him tight. But I wasn't ready for how strong he is. He wiggled away and the needle popped out. So now we have no blood and a screaming baby. Not good.

They noticed he seemed a little dehydrated so we tried getting him to drink some water to get those veins to pop. It didn't really work. We tried again, on the same arm. They kept trying his right arm because that's where his "good veins" were.

So, the second try. Same positions for everyone, except this time we only had one nurse. So I had to bear hug him down and hold his other arm straight. Well, that was just silly. We got about 1/8 of a vial and then that needle popped out. More screaming. Not good.

The nurse checked with someone else and found that the 1/8 of a vial was good enough for one of the tests but not the other. So we were going to have to try again. Nick was getting really upset and frustrated. Nick can't stand needles and watching them stick Dom was almost too much for him. He spent a lot of time in the hallway, not watching.

We brought back in a second nurse for this try and had no choice but to go to the 'bad veins' for the blood draw. Wouldn't you know it, this time we hit the jackpot. We got a good vein because they not only got one full vial but TWO full vials! Score!

After we were done, we got Dom calmed down and he was back to smiling when we left. But it was so horrible while it was happening.

Since he was such a brave boy, we HAD to take him for a treat after the lab. We went to Chris' Pancake House for breakfast! Dom loved it.

Now we just have to pray the results are good!

Holidays

This week has back to back holidays! :)

Yesterday was "Administrative Professionals Day". Gotta love that!! Nick was very angry about this holiday. He first thought that I made it up, but when we went to Dierberg's, I showed him all the balloons, cards, and flowers. He was mad.

"When is Electrician's Day???" was his argument. I told him we should make one up for him, but don't rain on my parade! :-)

Yesterday at work, I got flowers and an extra large Bud Light Lime (my favorite brew of the moment). It was such a surprise! I loved it. I also got told that we'll go out to lunch next week to celebrate (this week was too busy). So I'm pretty pumped about that. I love going out to lunch.

This was a good Administrative Professionals Day.

Now today is Earth Day!

I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do for Earth Day yet, but I'll do something. I try to be 'green' as much as I can. I bring my re-usable grocery bags to the store. I try to car pool to work when I can. We walk almost everywhere we go lately (to the grocery store, to Walgreens, to the park, to restaurants, etc.) so that's being green. But I want to do more.

Any suggestions for a great Earth Day plan??

Happy holidays!

Kickball

My parents kept Dominick all day until our kickball games were over. So had a whole day to ourselves.

We started the day off right, by going out for a big breakfast! We went to Bob Evans (our new favorite breakfast place) and I had blueberry crepes. Not my favorite meal from there but still delicious. (I highly recommend the country sausage breakfast meal...Yum!)

After breakfast, we came home and I tried to get a few things done around the house. I switched the laundry, cleaned up the basement, cleaned Dominick's room, put away all the clean laundry and picked up the dog 'dirt' in the yard. Then it was already 11:00 and I had to go the fields to start my reporting on the games.

I reported on the first game and when I went to do the second game, the team I was reporting on didn't have enough girls. They asked if I wanted to play. Of course I did! So I played two games with them (we lost both games...it was sad). Then it was time for my team to play. So I ran back to the other field, put on my amazing plaid shirt, and hit the fields for another two games.

We won our first game and lost our second. Which is still really good. We are now 3-1 for the season and having a blast. We also got told that in 10 seasons, no one has ever seen cooler jerseys than our plaid shirts. We rock. Plain and simple. ;-)

Date Night

So since my parents had Dom for the whole afternoon and night, Nick and I wanted to do something we didn't get to do normally. We didn't know what or where, but we wanted to go out and stay out. Without having to worry about coming home early to a babysitter or having to get up early with Dom.

That was the plan...here's what really happened.

Nick got home from the golf tournament around 6:30 or so. I was laying on the couch STILL watching the Cardinals game. It started at 3:05 and was in extra innings. When Nick got home, he laid on the couch and closed his eyes. I kept telling him, when the game is over, we're going to get ready and go out.

Well the game wouldn't end!! Finally, when it got to be the 14th inning, I told Nick we had to get up and go. We got up and got dressed and went to Syberg's on Gravois. We sat in the bar and ordered some food. The game was on and it was still going. We were also thinking of going to the new casino, just to check it out, but wanted to wait for the game to end.

Around the 17th inning, my friend Lauren, texted me and asked what we were doing. I told her where we were and she asked if we minded if she and her husband came up for a drink. Of course we didn't mind, so they came up for a drink.

They got there in the 19th inning and the game finally ended in the 20th inning...it would've been a lot better if the Cardinals won, but it was still a crazy game.

We stayed at the bar for a little longer and around 11:00 we were all so tired we went home. Nick and I didn't go to the casino. We just went home and went straight to bed.

So much for a date night! :-)

Cecilia's Birthday!

Cecilia is TWO today!!

Her birthday party was Saturday and it was such a nice party. Nick was in a charity golf tournament so he couldn't make it. But Dom and I went. When my sister asked Celia what she wanted for her birthday lunch she said, "hot dogs". So Angela stuck with it. She got some amazing hot dogs made at Schnucks deli. You know the big ones, like they have at the ball park? They were delicious. She also had bratwursts, potato salad, fruit salad, regular salad, and of course, CAKE!

The food was so good. I ate my food and some of Dom's!

When Ang asked Cecilia what kind of cake she wanted, Celia said, "brown cake" so my sister made chocolate cake. When she asked her what kind of icing, Celia said, "purple". It was an interesting looking cake, but made completely from scratch and, again, DELICIOUS!

Cecilia got some good presents for her second birthday, including new clothes, new pj's, some 'play' pots and pans, a new jacket, a book, and digital drumsticks! Those were the hit of the party.

After the party ended, my parents took both Dominick and Cecilia to their house for a birthday sleepover. Which was so exciting, because Nick and I had a night completely off! (that's another post).

I can't believe Cecilia is already two. What a big girl!!

Girls Night

Friday night we had girls night over at Michelle's. It was an excuse to hang out with some out of town girls and eat some good food. Unfortunately, because of work, Leslie couldn't make it from Arkansas, and because she got sick, Shannon couldn't come either (she is visiting from Las Vegas). We missed you both!!

But Michelle, Abs, Ash, Win, Lauren and I still met up. We had a Mexican themed meal with salsa, guacamole, tacos, fajitas, and margaritas! We are great cooks, let me tell you. The food was delicious and it was really great to catch up. We see each other fairly often, but usually it's for a reason and things are kind of rushed and we can't just sit and talk. We did this Friday night for hours.

I love my friends. We have all been friends since Freshman year of college and we're all still so close. I love that. Some people can't say that. Some people aren't friends with anyone they went to college with. I love that we have all stayed so close.

I miss dinner nights. We had such a blast, I think definitely have to make time to do this one again!!

Indifference

This is going to be a wordy post, I'm sure. And I apologize in advance for it.

I got an email this morning from my dad. My brother got deployed to Afghanistan again. We didn't know that he got deployed, or at least I didn't. I don't know how long he is gone for. I don't know where he is stationed there. I don't know where he was stationed here! I don't know where his family is living right now. I don't really know anything about him anymore.

It hurts. I don't like that I don't know him anymore. I don't like that I can't see my nieces and nephews. That I don't even know where to send a birthday card to my God-daughter.

But it's starting to hurt less. When I read that email this morning, I didn't hardly flinch. I'm an emotional person. A crier, if you will. The last few times I've read that my brother is being deployed, I've cried. Worried. Said a million prayers. This time, it sent a quick jolt through my system but then it passed. I've continued my day without giving it much of a thought. And that actually scares me more than anything.

I'm afraid of completely not caring. I keep saying I don't care anymore, but he's my brother. My only biological brother. I've come to think of Nick's brothers and brother in law as my brothers, and I love them, but they'll never take the place of my brother. My brother, who I used to watch play basketball. My brother, who I used to beg for piggy back rides. My brother, whose leaving for college was the single most traumatic thing that happened to me while in grade school.

I won't stop saying prayers. I want him to come home. Or go back to where ever he was living. I want him to be happy. If that means never talking to us again, so be it. If he's happy, then I can handle that. I want his kids to have their father, and I am positive that my brother is an absolutely amazing dad.

I want to care. I want to be that emotional person again. I want to send him $50 care packages and cards and letters. But I don't know if I can be that person anymore. I've been hurt too many times.

I'm stuck in a state of complete indifference.

My two medals

Just to brag. :-P

Here is a picture of both of my half marathon medals next to each other.

I'm so proud that I've done two half marathons and I can't wait to add a few more to that list. I'm thinking about doing the half in Indianapolis, my favorite city!

I have several 5K's on my list for this summer and I'm even considering the half marathon in St. Charles again. We'll see how it goes and how I feel come September!

Black Eye

Dominick got in a fight...ok not really. But that's what Nick told me when I got home the other day.

Stella doesn't know exactly what happened. She said he never cried. Lately, Dom's been throwing things, but he doesn't know when to release whatever it is, so he kind of hits himself in the head.

When I saw his little eye, it nearly broke my heart. And it's only a little cut! I took a picture as soon as I saw it:

If that wasn't bad enough, it's worse now! Dom was sitting in my lap (I was on the floor by the coffee table - can you see where this is going?) and he dropped a toy. Without hesitating, he leaned forward and hit his little eye right on the corner of the coffee table. I haven't taken another picture, but it's more swollen and black and blue now. Poor guy!!

I get so sad for him everytime I see his little eye. I just want to pick him up and snuggle him...what the heck am I going to do if he breaks a bone or something??

Kickball is HERE!

It's finally here!! Kickball season is started again!

I'm so excited. We have an amazing team this year - no one new, so we all know each other and are friends which makes it even more fun.

We played awesome yesterday. We won our first game by 6 runs I think, and then we won our second game by 8 runs!

And Angela, Nick and I all played well considering we had all done 13.1 miles in the morning!

GOOOOO SUE!

Last year, and well every year before that, we've worn all black. Our team is "A Team Named Sue", a play on the Johnny Cash song, A Boy Named Sue. We've worn black t-shirts with 'SUE' as the player's name on the back. This was always pretty original. No one else wore black, as it was pretty hot. Well the last few years, people have started wearing black! So we went for a whole new angle this season!

PLAID!

We all got button up collared shirts and our teammate, Dan, is screening the above logo on the backs of each shirt. I'm so excited! We won't get confused with another team again! No one is wearing plaid I bet!

2-0 so far! Let's keep it up!

Half Marathon

Well we did it!!

I'm extremely sore today but it was worth it. It was great. For those of you who follow the blog regularly, you know that last time I did a half marathon I trained for it. Like really trained. Stuck to the schedule, and did all my runs. Trained for it.

This time I did not...I made a decision a few months back, that I was going to walk the half marathon with my mom. I figured this would be easy. It's walking, right?? But I was wrong!! They put a time limit on walking it (or it seemed like they did) and I was nervous. My mom had been training, really well, and was doing around a 17-18 minute mile. The time limit seemed like you had to do a 13:44 minute mile or you would get "booted" off the course and not get a medal. That made me nervous. Not for me, but for my mom. She had been training since January 12 for this thing and I wanted her to finish and get her medal.

I asked her a few weeks ago if we could try a walking/jogging combination. We could walk for 3 minutes, and then jog for 30 seconds. She said she was willing to give this a shot. Not trying to sound mean, but I didn't think she could/would keep this up. I thought we would do it for the beginning and then she would want to just walk, which would have been fine, but she proved me wrong.

She was AMAZING!! I even 'cheated' her and had her jogging for more than 30 seconds sometimes and she was awesome. She just did it. No questions asked and she rocked! We did the first mile in 13:44 exactly. We slowed down for the second mile to 14 minutes, but then picked it up for the 3rd and 4th and were up to a 13 minute mile pace - WALKING and some jogging! That's awesome if you ask me.

We did slow down a bit at the end, but not by much. There were stretches where I'd ask my mom to tell me when we'd stop running. We'd jog for as long as she could and I'd count out the seconds and we'd jog for almost 2 minutes! For not training and being 10 miles in, that's almost unbelievable. But she did it. I'm so proud of her.

There ended up not being a time limit, per se, so we could have gone slower, but I'm so glad we pushed ourselves. We finished, side by side, in 3 hours, 12 minutes. That breaks down to about a 14 minute 45 second mile. That's awesome. The fastest I think my mom did a mile during training was around 16 minutes. That's cutting more than a minute off her time for THIRTEEN whole miles!

We finished by running to the finish. We ran for the last minute of the race and crossed the finish line within 1 second of each other and I'm so glad we did it together. So glad.

Nick and my sister also did the half marathon, along with my brother in law Dave, and our friend Dave. A lot more people we know did the half too, but these are the people I rode with or am related to that finished.

They all did awesome. I was really proud of Nick. He's been catching a lot of slack lately from his family and some friends thinking that he is out of shape or too 'big' of a guy to run a half marathon so he wanted to do well. He rocked. I feel bad for him because it bothers him when everyone says this stuff, and he is in great shape. He can run really really well and he did amazing.

Here are our official finish times:

Meg - 3:12:22
Mom - 3:12:23
Ang - 1:58:53
Nick - 2:09:11
Dave (brother-in-law) - 1:54:02
Dave (friend) - 2:41:38

So we all did awesome!! I'm so proud of all of us. We had a great time and who knows, we all might do another one.

Nick had a great idea. We should make a team and do the relay next year. Then we'd only have to do 6.5 miles instead!!

Definitely something to think about...

When it rains, it pours...

This has not been a very good 24 hours for us....

It started yesterday afternoon. Lately, I've been getting a ride into work with Mike and then Nick picks me up on his way home. It's nice because a) we're being green! and b) Nick and I get to spend extra time together, just us and that's good.

Well yesterday, Nick called me around 2:30 and said that his name was drawn for a random drug test so he had to go and get that done. Either I could leave work early and go with him, or I could get a ride home with Mike. I asked Mike and since I was all caught up for the day, we decided that I would leave early with Nick. So I told him to come get me.

Around 2:50, Nick calls back and says, "I need you to do me a favor. For some reason, I don't have an updated insurance card with me. I just got in an accident and I need you to bring a copy to me." He was very calm, so I didn't freak out. I called our insurance agent, got them to fax me a current copy of his insurance card and asked Mike to bring me to where Nick said he was.

I called him again to make sure we were going to the right place and when I called, I asked him, "Was it your fault?" and he simply replied, "Yes". Ok, fair enough.

When Mike dropped me off, I didn't see too much damage anywhere. Nick's truck was off on the side of the road and the car he hit was still in the middle of the road. It was a three lane road, one headed north, one headed south, and a center turn lane. The other car was still in the center turn lane. The back end was pretty smashed but not too too bad.

I asked Nick what happened. This is when my heart sank and I felt sick. There was a sink hole filled with water a little ways down the road, I could see it. Nick didn't realize how deep it was and drove through it instead of around it. His car hydroplaned, and he lost control of the car. His car swung to the left, putting him into oncoming traffic and heading him straight for a big concrete wall. If Nick hit that wall, it could've been very bad. But he didn't. He pulled the steering wheel hard to the right and swung back into oncoming traffic. He almost flipped his car over when he hit another car that slowed him down and brought him back to all four tires on the ground. If his car flipped, that would've been very bad. We are actually extremely lucky that he hit another car. What really mad me catch my breath, was when the other car said, "I was watching you, and I honestly didn't know if you were going to survive. I thought you were going to flip and die."

WHAT?!?!!? It took a bit to calm down and realize that he's fine. He's right in front of me. I can touch him. He's fine.

But it's a scary scary thing. The accident happened around 2:45. Both Nick and the guy he hit called 9-1-1. When I got there, I called the cops, around 3:20. Three county cops drove by, but we were in the city. The county cops didn't even slow down to see if we were ok. We had 8+ people standing on the side of the road. A smashed car in the middle of the road. And the county cops didn't even slow down....Are you kidding me??

Around 3:55 we heard sirens. We weren't holding our breath at this point, but the sirens were for us. Only they weren't cops. They sent an ambulance and a fire truck to the scene....and no cops. Again....what??

We told the fire chief that we had been waiting for over an hour and he got on his phone and yelled at someone. It worked. Two cops showed up, less than 5 minutes later.

Luckily both cars were "drivable". I put that in quotes because if the guy Nick hit was more than two blocks away from home, it wouldn't have been drivable. But luckily he was close. We felt so bad for the guy, because he had just finished paying his car off the week before! What rotten luck. But he saved my husbands life and I made sure he knew how appreciative we were.

Nick's truck was ok to drive but he can't make a right too well. The tire rubs against the front bumper so once we got home, we left it there. The only damage to Nick's car is the bumper and his right head light. Very easy to fix. Thank goodness.

So that was how the afternoon started. Nick then went to do his drug test and I picked up Dommie. Later, I went to my basketball game and Nick stayed home since his back was starting to hurt.

When I got home from my game (which we won 53-25 in case anyone was curious) Dom was already asleep and Nick was laying on the couch. I gave him some Tylenol and he went to bed. I waited a little longer and then I went to bed.

A little past 10, my car alarm started going off. At first we didn't realize it was my car. After a few seconds, I asked Nick, "Is that my car?". He got up, looked out the window and said, "Yup".

So he ran downstairs to turn the alarm off. I ran to the window to look. I didn't see anyone, but I had a very uneasy feeling about it. I heard Nick turn the alarm off and re-lock it. I still felt uneasy as Nick came back up to bed. But I didn't see anyone, so I let it go. I went to bed, and got up today like usual.

I brought Dommie to daycare (we walk there every day) and then when it was time to go, I went to my car, opened the door and saw crap everywhere. My center console was wide open and there were check stubs and papers and receipts and trash EVERYWHERE! I called Nick, because sometimes he goes into my car and looks for stuff and doesn't clean it back up. He said he went into my car to grab his work overalls from the back seat and noticed that there was stuff on my front seat but he didn't do it.

"Great. My car was broken into then," I told him. He told me not to jump to conclusions and since none of the windows were broken, maybe it was a weird coincidence. But I knew otherwise. I still had that uneasy feeling and I just drove the car the night before. I didn't leave stuff everywhere. He told me to check the locks. The driver side was fine. The passenger side was not fine...that's how they got in.

"So I guess the GPS is gone then?" Nick asked. Well crap. I forgot that was in this car. I looked at the windshield, "Yup...gone."

Nick was the calm one. It's going to be fine, he kept telling me. And he's right. He's alive and well. I wasn't near the car when it got broken into. The only thing that got taken was a GPS. It's only money.

It just sucks.

I do have a lot to be thankful for. My husband is here. He didn't roll his car and he isn't seriously hurt. He's alive. And I'm here. Dommie's here. Everyone is perfect. If I have to spend a little money and buy a new GPS or God forbid, not have a GPS for a bit, then that's ok. We'll be ok.

I just hate that it always seems like, when it rains, it pours...

It's finally SPRING!

Dominick LOVES sunglasses. I really need to get him some of his own. He picks up any that he can find and puts them on his face. He grabbed my sunglasses before going out this past weekend. I grabbed my phone to take a picture and didn't think I'd get a decent pic, but instead I got a GREAT one!

Here's is my little man, looking awesome in my shades:

We are so ready for Cardinals games, can you tell?

Spaghetti Jimmy

Do you remember that commercial for a credit card that you can personalize? I think it was for Citi Cards or something? And the mom picks Spaghetti Jimmy for her card? No? I'm crazy? What?

Anyway,

We took Dominick to Pasta House last week and we decided to try spaghetti for his dinner. We switched it to the shell noodles so he could pick them up easier. He loved it. Although he was quite messy!

He recently started eating in a new way...he pretends he is a "kitty" or "doggie" (in his words) and eats straight from the plate or tray with his mouth. I don't know when he started this but he does it almost every meal about halfway through the meal.

Here's a picture of him eating his spaghetti (with his hands, right before "diving" in):

Telephone!

One of Dom's favorite games is playing with a telephone. He will pick up anything that he can put near his ear and just walk around "talking" to someone. It's really cute. He also does this in the car with our cell phones and sometimes he looks so serious that I think he's actually talking to someone!

Here's a picture of him talking on the "phone" the other morning. Sorry, but the quality of my pictures are going down down down since Ruby ate our camera cords and we can't use it right now. All pictures, until further notice, are from my cell phone! :-)

Crocs!

Dommie has crocs! Adorable Thomas the Train crocs. They are a little big but we have them, and due to an error on me and Nick's part this morning, Dommie had no shoes and had to wear his new crocs.

He was so funny when I put them on him! He kept looking at his feet and laughing. He would touch his toes through the shoes and giggle some more. They are a little big so we went back to the Frankenstein walk, but all in all he did well.

Hopefully he doesn't trip a lot today!
