Dominick

is getting smarter and smarter every day!

We picked him up for daycare yesterday and Stella told us that he's been naming people all day. There were a few kids still there so he went around and showed off to us.

He went up to Jonathan and said, "Jonathan!"
Then he went to Stella and said, "La-la!"
Stella was holding a baby (Harlow) so he went over and gave the baby a gentle pat and said, "Baby!" (he doesn't quite get her name yet...there are two babies, twins, and he just calls them both baby).
Then he saw Ella and said, "La-la!"
He pointed to me and said, "Ma-ma!" and to Nick and said, "Dad!".

Then he did the cutest thing ever.

He slapped his hand on his chest and said,
"I Dominick!".

He's never shown any interest in his name. He actually never understood his name. When people say, "Hi Dommie!" he'll say, "Hi Dommie!" right back. He didn't realize that was HIS name. He just thought it was how they were greeting him. So he greeted them the same way back. But now he is started to realize that everyone has a different name. And I think it's adorable.

That's his new favorite thing to do. Name everyone (or everything) in the room and then tell everyone who he is.

That's my little man. Learning more and doing more every day. I'm such a proud Mama! :)
