Saturday was even more hectic than Friday, if you can believe it!
We woke up early so Nick could run in a 5K with some of his family. He ran with his brother Dan, sister Kate, and Kate's husband, Dave. They all did SO well! It was early and they all finished in under 27 minutes. I am a slow runner and don't typically run less than 10 minute miles so I was very impressed with all of them!
After the race, Nick and I had to rush home to get ready for kickball. We had two games and we lost miserably! The first game we lost 10-2. The second game we lost 18-1! Bad bad day for kickball. In our defense, 8 of our players were at the wedding the night before!
When the games ended, we went to our sponsor's restaurant and had lunch. We had to rush from there and head home and shower and change to head out to Nick's niece and goddaughter's birthday party. She is 6 today. I can't believe she is that old already! We had a great time and GREAT food there.
Unfortunately we had to leave early because we were co-hosting a surprise 30th birthday party for our friend Mike! It was such a shame the dates conflicted but their birthday's are so close together! And Mike's sister was in town from Chicago (she's in her second year of her medical residency and doesn't get a lot of time off) so we had to have it while she was here.
Mike was totally fooled and we had a great turnout. I'm so glad he was surprised! He said he didn't have a clue. So that's great. We didn't get to stay too late but my sister was staying up and helping us out by watching Dom and it had already been a long day so we left early. Around 10:45ish.
What a day!!
