Running

I have to run 9 miles tonight when I get home. Thank goodness the weather is so nice. I can probably run as soon as I get home.

But on a scarier note, the half marathon is less than two weeks away. 13 days away to be exact...oh my goodness.....

Just Dommie and Mommy!

This weekend Nick went out of town for a golf tournament with my family. They do it every year. Last year, I basically moved in with my mom since I was pregnant and didn't want to be alone for 3 days. This year I decided to stay put since my mom had plans on Saturday and I had plans Friday and Saturday night in the city.

It was an adventure to say the least. Taking care of a 7 month old by yourself for three days is no easy feat. And I tip my hats to all the single parents out there. I have NO idea how you do it, day in and day out. I thought 3 days was a challenge.

Dommie and I went to the zoo Friday night and had a blast. After the zoo, Annie and Mike came back to my house and we hung out for a bit. Putting Dom down on Friday wasn't too bad, but I stayed up very late and had lots of wine. So Saturday morning was a challenge. We got up early Saturday and played and then after Dom's morning nap, we went to my mom's house and hung out with her and her two sisters and her mom. They were having a girls weekend and I barged in for part of it.

It was a lot of fun. They had lunch (which was delicious) and then my aunt June taught us all about stamping and making home made cards. It was so neat! And she gave my mom a bunch of stuff! I think I'm going to start getting into it too! It's so cool to personalize a card for a friend. It's an expensive hobby though. But I figure if Nick can have golf, I can have stamping!

After card making, Dom and I went back home to get ready for my friend's couples shower. Dom and I got dressed up and went over to her parents house. It was a lot of fun, but Dommie wasn't having it. We only stayed for about an hour and a half and then went home. As soon as we got home, Dom was wide awake again. We stayed up until about 9:30 and then went to bed.

Sunday, Dom was up bright and early again. We got up and played and just hung out at the house. Nick called around 2 to say he was about an hour and a half away. I was so excited to hear that. I love Dommie and he is such a good baby but I was ready for a break. And a nap!

When Nick got home, we got ready and went to Nick's mom's house for dinner. It was a nice relaxing night, and an early night. We were home by 8. That was nice because then I got to go to bed early.

It was a great weekend, and I loved hanging out with Dommie by myself but I am so glad Nick is home. Dommie and I really missed having Da-da around!

Jungle Boogie!

Friday night I went to Jungle Boogie at the zoo! My sister and her family came too. So did my mom, my cousin Annie, and my friend Mike. We got a table and brought some beer and wine and just listened to the music. Our friend Eric has a band and they were playing. Their band is Tiny Cows and they are amazing.

It rained for a bit but then settled down and was a beautiful night. Dom LOVED the music. He was smiling and had a really good night. We got to see the bears and sea lions and peacocks. We mainly stayed in the concert area but the bears were so cool to watch so we wandered for a bit.

It was so nice to do something so fun for so little! St. Louis is full of fun, free activities and I never take advantage of them. Going to the zoo was a lot of fun and we had a great time!

Hu...Hu...WHO?!?!

Hubert Keller!!

Does anyone know who that is?? He is a chef and I first heard of him while watching Top Chef a few years back. He was a guest judge and they raved about him and his cooking. Then when Lumiere Place was built in St. Louis, I found out that Hubert Keller was the chef behind the Burger Bar and Sleek Steakhouse.

Then, a few weeks ago I saw that there was a Top Chef Masters Show on Bravo (I'm crazy addicted to Top Chef) so I figured I'd like the Masters as well. Hubert Keller was on there. He did great. He made it to the Finale. The top 3. He was amazing to watch and was always so nice and seemed like a great person to know. They mentioned St. Louis a few times and he represented our city well.

Last Friday, one of our vendors took us to the Burger Bar at Lumiere Place. Our vendor, John, is a big fan of Hubert Keller's too. He was so excited to go there and eat something that Hubert Keller created. I was joking around with him that he should ask if Hubert was working and if we could meet him. We didn't think there was anyway he would be here. He has two restaurants in Las Vegas. Why would he be in St. Louis??

Well, right after we got our food, I looked up and Hubert Keller was walking through the restaurant! I yelled to John to look and he was so excited too. When Hubert was walking back to the kitchen, my boss stood up and told him it was nice to meet him. Hubert came over to our table and shook all of our hands and we talked for a minute. He thanked us for coming in and was SO nice. It was so cool! One of my favorite chefs from one of my favorite shows!

Friday was a good day!

So grown up

Every morning when Dom wakes up, he plays for a little bit on his own before crying to get up or to eat. So we lay in bed and take our time waking up too. Well lately when he wakes up he starts talking a lot. He has learned "Da-Da". He doesn't know it means anything yet. He's not referring to Nick specifically when he says it, but he knows we smile and say it back so it's a new favorite thing. When we go in to check on him, he's standing in his crib with his arms holding the bars and grabbing his mobile that hangs above the bed.

I can't believe he can do all of these things already!?!? He can crawl, pull himself to standing, hold his own bottle, say things that make sense (kind of...) it's just too crazy. I would bet that he'll be walking before he's 10 months old. I don't know why but I think he'll be walking soon. He's so eager to get places and when he's at daycare, he's one of the only ones who doesn't walk.

My little man and I are on our own this weekend. Nick is going out of town with most of the men in my family for a golf tournament. I hope he's a big grown up boy all weekend and we have zero problems...especially since I still don't have a cell phone yet!!

New Trick

Dommie has a new trick! He can WAVE! It's not a hand wave, it's a full fledged arm motion but it's a wave. At first he was doing this all the time and had no idea what it meant. But now he's doing it back when we wave to him. Big boy!

I don't have a picture of him waving. But I have an adorable picture of him just being cute...so I'll post that one for ya's!

Amazing Feeling!

I ran 8.3 miles last night! I did it! Without stopping. And in just over 10-1/2 minute miles! Go me!! :-)

Nick made me run (I love and hate that man all at the same time) and I was running out of spite. He said I couldn't do the half marathon. So I was proving him wrong. And I ran hard. And long. When I got back to the house he was on the front steps and apologized and then I had to thank him for making me run...again.

But no matter what the reason was that I went, I still went! And I did it.

I'm so happy! Only a few more weeks and I'll be running the half marathon! And then I'll really feel proud! YAY!

(I apologize for all of the exclamation points....I am excited)

Best Husband Ever!

Nick told me what my anniversary present is already. Our 3 year wedding anniversary is September 9. He wanted to do something special for me so he planned a trip. He wasn't going to tell me but I think he was so excited, he had to tell. Anyone who knows us, knows that we are BIG football fans. And I LOVE Peyton Manning. And Nick LOVES Tom Brady. We always argue about who is better. (Hence I was very excited when the Patriots lost to the Giants a few years back).

Well, for our anniversary, (are you ready for it???) Nick is taking me to Indianapolis for SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!! We are going Sunday, November 15 (thanks for the correction Ash!) to see the Colts play the Patriots!! Then we are staying the night and coming home Monday.

I'm SO excited!! I will wear my Manning jersey and Nick will wear his Brady jersey and we'll argue, just like normal, but in INDY!!

I can't wait. Even though it's still a few months away, I'm super excited.

Thanks babe! I LOVE OUR GIFT!!

Big Boy Bath!

Last night Dommie had his first bath in the big bath tub. We've been still using his "baby bath". But now that he can sit up so well, crawl and play in the water, we decided to move him to the big bath. Our bathtub upstairs is a jacuzzi tub so it's very big. So for our first bath, I got in a swimsuit and climbed in with him.

He had so much fun! We bought some new bath toys for him. He loved them. He crawled and splashed and had a good ole time.

Here's a picture. Please excuse/ignore me in the picture. I'm wearing a swimsuit but it shows more cleavage than I would like. But Dommie is so cute, I still have to post it.

My Big Boy!!

Wedding Outfits

Yesterday I went to David's Bridal with my mom to get my bridesmaid dress for Michelle and Adam's wedding. I grabbed about 10 dresses and headed to the dressing room. On the way there I noticed a rack that said "Clearance". I looked quickly and saw one short black dress in my size. I snagged it and went to the dressing room with my mom. I tried on all of them and didn't like any of them a lot, and kind of liked only one. I didn't like the way they fit or the way they looked. Some of them just didn't fit at all. I had forgotten about the clearance dress. I looked at it again. I tried it on and it fit pretty well. It was very comfortable and looked ok. I had to go back and forth between trying on both of the "ok" dresses for a bit before I finally decided on the clearance dress. It looked better and fit better. So I bought it. It was on sale for $75.00! I was pretty excited about that. I don't have a picture of that with me but I'll try it on and get a picture up soon enough.

That was yesterday. Today I looked up baby tuxedos and found a perfect one for Dom! I found it on eBay and already bought it. It will be here in 4-5 business days. ;-)

Here's a picture of the one I bought:

Now, all I need to do is get some shoes and I'll be done! Just under 4 more weeks until their wedding! Can't wait!!

Dommie's Birthday!

Dommie is 7 month's old today!!

YAY! Happy Birthday Dom!

Saturday!

Saturday morning I went and got my hair trimmed and did a quick practice on how I'm going to wear my hair for Michelle and Adam's wedding! It's just really curly since my hair is so short. What do you think??

After getting my hair done I went to my Uncle's friend, Dorothy's, house. It was my cousin's 16th birthday. I was so happy to go because I also got to see my cousin Tommy. He's been living in Malaysia for the last year or so, so I was very excited to see him. Here's a picture of me and Tommy.

It was a great day yesterday. Today my mom and I are going bridesmaid dress shopping for Michelle and Adam's wedding. I'm so excited! I'll update you when I pick one out!

Running Update

I just got back from running my 5 miles and I feel great. It was amazing. I almost didn't go running (again - I keep talking myself out of running and then go at the last minute) but Nick made me (thank you dear!) and I'm so glad he did. I ran the whole thing and felt great doing it. I even sprinted the last quarter mile or so. I didn't wear a watch, which I'm regretting now, but I think I did it in a decent time. My legs totally went numb, in a good way, and my lungs felt great too. I think I could've kept going, honestly, but it was already late, so I went home.

Anyway, just HAD to blog about how great it was!!

Wordless Wednesdays - A little late

Since it's not really Wednesday, I'm allowed a few words.

I picked this picture because it hit me like a freight train yesterday...my baby is going to be 7 months on Sunday! I can't believe how fast times flies. Seriously. It's crazy.

Here's one of the first pictures of me and my baby...

Vacation...

but not ours.

Our daycare lady, Ms. Stella, is on vacation these next few weeks. Her daughter is getting married and their whole family is from Greece. She mentioned that the planning and everything has been going a lot like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".

So for two and a half weeks, we had to find replacement babysitters. It shouldn't have been an issue. When I first called and talked to Stella about her watching Dom (back in February), she told me that she had an opening and to warn me, she'd be taking two weeks off in August. I should've started looking then. But it's me...and I didn't.

So here we are! With some juggling though, I think we can make it work! Here's what our schedule looks like. Thank you to our parents for helping so much!! And my wonderful cousin Annie!

Friday 8-14 - ME
Monday 8-17 - ME in the morning and NICK in the afternoon
Tuesday 8-18 - MY MOMMA
Wednesday 8-19 - ME
Thursday 8-20 - MY MOMMA
Friday 8-21 - COUSIN ANNIE!
Monday 8-24 - NICK'S MOMMA
Tuesday 8-25 - MY MOMMA
Wednesday 8-26 - ME
Thursday 8-27 - MY MOMMA
Friday 8-28 - COUSIN ANNIE
Monday 8-31 - Maybe ME or NICK or NICK'S MOMMA
Tuesday 9-1 - MY MOMMA

Whew! So after some juggling of some schedules, I think we got it to work. I've very thankful for our family for helping us out!

Oh my!

There's less than one month until the half marathon. I don't think I'm ready. I think I feel a little sick...

Busy Weekend, Again!

Saturday I went to the Lake for my friend Michelle's bachelorette party. We all met up at Michelle's at 7:00 a.m. and were hoping to get on the road right away. But some of us were running a little late so we got a late start. We probably got on the road around 8:15 or so.

The drive down was fine and when we got there we packed up the coolers and changed into our suits and hopped on a boat! We rented a pontoon boat and headed to Party Cove. I've never been to Party Cove and heard it was crazy and crowded and drunk and wild. I was nervous to say the lesat. But it was awesome! Everyone is so nice! We pulled our boat up to another boat and they tied us on to them and someone pulled up on the other side and we were in. Set for the day! We met some really cool people and just hung out. I think Michelle had a really good time and that's what was important anyway.

After being on the Lake for a few hours (like 5) we headed back to the condo. We pulled the boat in (well Winnie did, way to go Win!) and trooped back up to the condo. We all showered and got dressed up and got ready to go out.

All the girls wore black dresses and the Maid of Honor, Suzanne, bought Michelle a white dress to wear out. It was a really cool effect and we all looked great, if I may say so myself. We toasted with champagne at the condo and then loaded into a cab (no drinking and driving for us!) and headed for Shady Gator's. We had dinner there and then moved down to the bar and started dancin!

We danced for awhile and then headed over to the Horny Toad. There was an awesome 2 person band playing there and had a great time dancing to all kinds of awesome music. They even sang, "My Hazel Eyed Girl" for Michelle (no brown eyes). It was a blast. We went down to the club for about a half hour but didn't like it so we headed back up to the 2 man band.

When they were done playing we loaded back onto the shuttle and went back to the Shady Gator. More dancing and drinking there. When that was done we grabbed a cab and went back to the condo. I went to bed pretty quickly. Some girls ordered pizza but I was exhausted!

This morning was laid back. Just packing and getting ready to go.

Now I'm home, and SO happy to see my baby boy! We're headed to my folks tonight for dinner and then I need to relax! I'm so exhausted.

Ready to head back to the grind tomorrow. I know a lot of schools are starting back up this week, so I hope everyone had an awesome last weekend of the summer. Oh and I'll post some pics when I get them from Abbie!

Basketball

is over... :(

I'm sad about it. I had a really great time playing. Our game tonight was canceled because the other team forfeited. I really wanted one more game.

Our team didn't do well but I didn't care about that at all. I really just enjoyed playing with my sister. We never got to play on a team together and this was a first and awesome experience.

My sister and I didn't get along too well growing up, but since I've graduated high school we've been friends. Maybe even best friends. She was my best woman in my wedding (maid of honor sounds a little mean - why do the men get to be "best" and the women have to be "maids"??) and I was hers. I really wish we were closer in age and we could've played together in high school and maybe even college.

Oh well. Can't change our ages! I guess we'll always have kickball!!

No martinis

Martini Monday got canceled. Mike ended up having to come in early this morning and work since we are short handed so we decided martinis might be a bad idea.

Instead, Nick and I went over to Nick's mom's for dinner. We had a great dinner (baked potatoes, pork steaks, salad, garlic bread and cake!) and watched the baseball game for a bit.

Dom was fussy. I don't know what's going on with him lately. Stella (daycare) has noticed it too. Ever since he got his 6 month shots he's been a little...off. Last night he started crying for no real reason. I looked at the clock and it had been about 2 1/2 hours since he'd eaten so I thought he might be hungry. I made a bottle and he wouldn't take it at all. He'd put it in his mouth and then scream and turn his head. Well...the bottle was warmer than it usually is. So I dumped it out and made another bottle. A cold one this time. He would put the bottle in his mouth, eat for a few seconds, and turn his head and scream. It took awhile to get the bottle down. Also he's been spitting up a LOT more lately.

I'm thinking that his reflux is more acid reflux now. He never used to get upset spitting up. Now he cries a little when he spits up. And he's not eating as much and he cries while eating. I'm calling the pediatrician today. We'll see what she says.

On a happier note, we got some cute pictures of Dom when we got home. Dommie LOVES being on his Daddy's shoulders. When we got home, I grabbed all our stuff and Nick grabbed Dom and put him up on his shoulders. Dom laughed and giggled the whole time. I got a few pictures of it. He's so cute!!

I totally forgot to bring my camera to dinner so I don't have ANY pictures of Dom with Uncle Dan. I'm hoping to head over there for a bit tonight just so we can get a few good pics.

Martini Mondays!

It's back!

Martini Mondays is tonight! I'm very excited. We're trying four new recipes at Mike's house. I'm going to try very hard tonight to be good. I'll "sample" them each once and not four times like I did last time!

I'll let you know the best recipes tomorrow.

Weekend

What a weekend!

Friday was bad. I am off of work on Fridays and I usually clean the house and go grocery shopping on Fridays. None of these things happened this past Friday. Not even close. Here's about how my day went:

6:45 Dom is awake. I make him a bottle. Feed him. Lay him back down and go back to bed for an hour.
8:00 Dom is up up. We get up. Get dressed. I feed him some pears. We go to daycare.
8:30 Go to grocery store to get dog food since we're out. Also get kitty litter and some cookies (I needed cookies)
9:30 Get home and groceries are unloaded. Go upstairs and crawl into bed. Fall asleep.
11:00 Wake up. Read part of my book.
11:40 Go back to bed.
12:30 Get up again. Read some more.
1:00 Decide I must get up and I go downstairs.
1:30 Fall asleep on couch.
3:00 Get up and try to clean as much as I can as fast as I can.
3:45 Go get Dominick
4:00 Go to Joe Bush's to meet Nick and our friend Mike Koch for a happy hour drink.
5:15 Go home and change to go to a BBQ.

Wasn't I productive?!?!?! Gosh, it was horrible. I felt like such a waste. And the worst part was, I was still tired after all of that!!! How? I have no idea.

The BBQ at Nick's sister's was a lot of fun. Dominick showed off the whole time. He's crawling like a pro now. Nick's brother Dan is in town from Boston so it was great to see him too.

Saturday! A slightly more productive day, but not really.

We get up. Get ready for the day. I go running (yay!) but only 2 miles (boo!) because it was so hot. After I got back, Nick left to get a haircut and Dommie and I hung out. After Nick got back, we got ready to go and left for my parents house. They were having a BBQ because it was my grandpa's 83rd birthday! We stopped by the Galleria at Harry and David's so I could make an amazing dip my sister in law, Lisa, told me about (Harry and David's Pepper and Onion salsa (1/2 jar) + 1 bar of cream cheese (blend together with a mixer) = DELICIOUS!) and then headed North. We got there early and got to go swimming. Dom loved it, as always.

The rest of the BBQ was great. Dom showed off some more. Then we left and went home and went to bed.

Sunday! More laziness (with an interesting story thrown in there).

Nick and Andrew went golfing, so Angela and Cecilia came over to watch the Top Chef Masters Marathon I DVR'd and just hang out. We were having a great time. Dommie and Celia were getting along great. Ang was getting some work done and I was able to hang out with 2 of my favorite kiddos in the world. Then Dom went down for a nap and I forgot that Celia can get in to more things than Dom. I was on the couch and Ang was in a chair when Cecilia brought her a black square. Ang put it on the bar and we didn't think anything of it. Later, she had like 6 or 7 black squares of different sizes. I went over to investigate...well I (stupidly) left open my laptop in her reaching distance. The black squares were keys off of my laptop keyboard. She got the F4 key. The 5. The 8. And about 4 letters.

I wasn't mad. That would be silly. It was my fault anyway. And Nick came home and was able to reattach all of them. Well except the F4 (and who uses that anyway) and except the L, but I can live without the key for the L. There's still the button, so I can still use it. It just feels a little funny. (I'm at my work computer where all the letters are still intact). But again, we used the computer last night and it's fine.

And later, Ang called me and told me that Cecilia was on a roll. She pulled the "N" off of her computer too! :)

Sunday night was a good night. Nick asked his mom to babysit and took me out. We went to SubZero Sushi bar. It was delicious. After dinner we picked Dom up and brought him home. Put him to bed and put on a movie. I fell asleep. It was past 10! Way past my bedtime.

Slept like a baby all night...

That was my weekend. I hope you didn't get too bored reading about how bad and lazy I was!

I saw him!

I saw him crawl tonight. And boy did he crawl. All over the place. And like crawling crawling. Hands and knees. No army crawl. Just crawling.

My baby boy is growing up too fast...

He did WHAT?!?!?!

I had basketball last night at 9 pm. I picked up Dommie on my way home from work. Nick wasn't feeling good so me and Dom hung out for a bit. Then I fed him and he took a long nap. When he finally woke up again, it was time for me to get ready and go. (I mentioned in the last few posts how crazy I am about certain things, like grocery lists...I'm also crazy about being on time). I got ready and left about 8 for a 9 game that was 10-15 minutes away.

Anyway, not the point of the story. My game is at 9 and it's over about 9:50 pm. When I got to my car, I saw that Nick had called. I called him back and we chatted for a bit and then he said, "Guess what?!?!" So I said, "What?" not thinking it was anything crazy. But then Nick said, "Dom crawled across the room tonight!"...

WHAT?!?!? And I missed it?!?!?! For a basketball game?!?!?! (Which before this news, basketball was the most exciting and awesome thing to do ever).

I was so sad that I missed it! I missed the first time he sat up and held himself up. I missed the first time he crawled. Am I going to miss everything?? His first word?? His first steps?? Everything??

I guess that is the price you pay for being a working mom (and a mom on a recreational basketball team! :P ). I'm ok with this. I love my job and I love working. I tip my hat to all those stay at home moms. Their job is WAY harder than mine. But I do get so jealous when I miss these moments that I can't ever get back. I should just get past all that self pity stuff though and celebrate.

MY SON CAN CRAWL!! (Let the baby proofing begin...)

Poor Dommie!

This morning as I was packing up my purse to head out the door, I set Dom on the floor to play while I finished up. He was playing with his binky and his firefly toy and having a great time. When I was ready I walked over toward him and he looked up and smiled at me. It was so sweet....but you know how sometimes you can see when something is about to happen and it's in slow motion but you can't stop it?? That happened to me this morning.

Dommie looked up at me and smiled a big smile, but as he was leaning back to look up at me, he fell straight back and hit his head on the floor. Hard. He immediately started screaming. I felt so horrible. I shouldn't have put him down (he was on a rug, not just floor but still!), I should have come over quicker and just scooped him up before he could look up, I should've done something different!

But I didn't. And Dommie screamed. I picked him up and hugged him close and bounced him and sang to him until he calmed down. I still felt so awful. I made sure he was OK and back to his normal happy self before we left. As I was holding him, he started laughing and trying to rip my necklace off of me. Back to normal. Check.

Now that he is moving around so much more I really need to be aware of babyproofing and knowing what's around him. He's so good at sitting up on his own now but (like this morning) he still has his moments of un-balance.

He was smiles and happy when I dropped him off and went right to play with the other kids. But, man! I felt bad!

Milk, Eggs, Vodka...

by Bill Keaggy.

Bill is one of my friends. He is on my kickball team. I've heard people talk about his books a few times but never really thought much about them. The other day I looked on his website and decided I should order his book and give it a shot. Bill's Website if you want to take a gander.

Anyway, his book (or one of them) came in the mail the other day and I started reading it last night. It's a collection of grocery lists that Bill has either found or people send in to him. He tears them apart making fun of their lists. It's hilarious. I think it's so funny to me because I'm sure I do a ton of these things! It may not sound like it's a good book, but trust me. It's awesome.

Here are a few clips from it. Remember, if you have the actual book you are seeing the scan of the actual list. The persons handwriting, doodles, misspellings, etc. This is just me typing. Along with every list is a comment from Bill. That's where the funny begins. Here's a few:

That's just a few clips. You may not find this funny at all (and if not, sorry for wasting your time!) but I think it's hilarious. You just have to read it to know what I'm talking about.

It has a whole section devoted to OCD lists...that's me for sure! I organize my shopping list by section and aisle. Yes I'm crazy. I am fully aware.

Hope you like my little book review!

Grandpa's Birthday!

So my Grandpa's birthday just passed and my sister and I sent him a birthday card we made on photo shop. Well "we" made it, which means she did the work and I said, "Yeah! That looks good!".

Here's the card. I thought it was so cute and original! We made it on Sunday after the Cardinals game we went to with my mom.

Hope you like our skills! Grandpa did!

PS - Yes, this is the same person who made Dominick's baptism card where he is laying in the arms of Jesus! My sister is quite talented!

Stat Counter

So I know not a lot of people check my blog and I'm perfectly ok with this. But I am curious as to how few people do check it. :P

So I added a stat counter on my page, just to check it out. It will be interesting to see what happens.

If no one checks my blog and the number is just plain sad, I'll remove the counter. :)

Happy Wednesday!

New Pictures

Again, before I have time to catch up on the weekend, here are some pictures of Dominick. If you are on Facebook, you've seen 'em. And if you are on my Kodak Gallery email list, you've seen 'em. But either way, here they are!

Dom is sitting up all by himself, all the time now! Love it!

Dom had two shots on Friday and DID NOT like them. He had a 102.5* fever Friday night. It was so sad.

Sunday we were feeling better and I went to the Cards game with Dom, my Momma, my sis and Cecilia. It was build a bear day and Dommie got a cool Build a Bear Cardinals puppy!

Dom and Brady are now best friends. Brady LOVES to lick Dom and Dom LOVES to be licked. I try to limit this licking as much as possible, but sometimes I'm too late!

Those are just a few pictures we recently took. I can't believe Dom is over 6 months and how many milestones he's hit! It's crazy. Next thing you know, I'll be posting about his first birthday party! EEK!

Busy Weekend

We had a GREAT weekend! It was so busy though. Friday night, we had people over for poker, Saturday night we went to Nick's brother's to play poker, Sunday, Dom and I went to the Cards game. Long busy weekend.

I'll blog more about the weekend later, but I don't have a lot of time right now. I did, however, want to share a picture with you all.

How cute is he????
